How is the Beginning and End of Shani Sade Sati Calculated in Vedic Astrology

In Vedic astrology, Shani Sade Sati is a significant period that occurs when the planet Saturn (Shani) transits through the zodiac signs immediately before, during, and after the zodiac sign of one's Moon at birth.

The calculation of the beginning and end of Shani Sade Sati involves the following steps:

Identify the Moon Sign at Birth:

First, determine the zodiac sign in which the Moon was placed at the time of a person's birth. This is known as the Moon sign or Janma Rashi.

Track Saturn's Transit:

Shani Sade Sati begins when Saturn enters the zodiac sign that precedes the Moon sign. For example, if a person's Moon sign is Taurus, Sade Sati starts when Saturn enters Aries.

Duration of the Transit:

Shani Sade Sati lasts for approximately 7.5 years. Saturn spends about two and a half years in each zodiac sign. Therefore, the period covers Saturn's transit through three signs: the sign before the Moon sign, the Moon sign itself, and the sign following the Moon sign.

End of Shani Sade Sati:

The period ends when Saturn leaves the zodiac sign that comes after the Moon sign. Continuing the previous example, for a person with their Moon sign in Taurus, Sade Sati ends when Saturn exits Gemini.

Shani Sade Sati is considered a challenging period in a person's life, marked by trials and learning experiences. It's believed to be a time of growth and reflection, where one might face various obstacles and hardships.
Please Understand, the exact impact and experience of Sade Sati can vary based on the individual's overall horoscope and Saturn's position and aspects therein.
